Indian Wedding Styling at Sezincote House

EM Designs had the pleasure of managing the Indian wedding styling for a sensational summer garden wedding. The stunning Sezincote House and Grounds in the Cotswolds was the perfect country estate for this grand event. EM Designs styled the wedding using vibrant floral displays incorporating marigolds and lotus flowers. We supplied the wedding mandap along with hand-painted Raj tents. It was an idyllic wedding with a magical Mughal palace as the focal point, a dream wedding for an adorable couple.

Sezincote House Indian Wedding Styling Case Study

Sezincote House Indian Wedding Venue

Sezincote House is a magical Mughal palace set in a stunning country estate in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, England. The Neo-Mughal architecture dated to 1805 when Samuel Pepys Cockerell designed it. A lavish landscape with glorious gardens, temples, grottoes and waterfalls are part of the 3500-acre estate. It’s a romantic and magical wedding venue for the beautiful couple – Viraja and Ram.

Indian Summer Garden Wedding Theme

The overall wedding styling theme was an Indian Summer Garden. This married perfectly with the English countryside location.  The main wedding ceremony took place under a beautiful mandap dressed in vibrant colour flowers. Marigolds were included because the couple wanted to celebrate Indian culture and traditions. The Indian summer garden floral theme brought a touch of India to Cotswold.

Hand Painted Raj Tents

Our beautiful hand painted Raj Tents from Rajasthan were used for the street food stations. Each dish was named after different parts of India. Colourful signage matching the bright tent colours gave guests a mouthwatering taste of what to expect from the catering.

Wedding Evening Reception Styling

The evening reception was styled in the same colour palette as the Hindu ceremony.  We attached a 10ft flowered halo with fresh flowers, brass bells and marigold garlands to the top of the marquee, creating a focal point for the bride and grooms first dance, cutting the cake and dance performances.

Wedding Floral Displays and Finishing Touches

We selected contrasting table linen by using a dusty pink. Brassware, candles and vintage gold glassware was used amongst the Indian summer garden flowers. All flowers for the centrepieces were among eye level allowing guests to view the beautiful grounds and the house from all angles. Marigolds were our most prominent flower because they are vibrant in colour and make a statement due to their bold shape. Fresh lotus flowers from India were used for the lunchtime decor.
